Man killed in New Bedford crash

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — A man was killed in a crash on Sunday afternoon in New Bedford.

Massachusetts State Police said cruisers responded to a single car crash at 3:25 p.m. on the ramp from Route 195 East to Washburn Street.

Responding officers reported the car crashed into a utility pole at the end of the ramp.

Police said the driver was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

A passenger in the vehicle was not injured, per authorities.

The crash is still under investigation.
