Police: Man kills wife, dog, himself in apparent murder-suicide

Police are investigating a murder-suicide in Pawtucket Thursday night.

Officers responded to 192 Meadow Street for a reported disturbance where they found an unresponsive female who had been stabbed, a barley conscious male who also had significant stab wounds, and a deceased dog that had been stabbed.

Detectives believe the 52-year-old male stabbed his 50-year-old wife and his dog before stabbing himself.

Both victims were transferred to Memorial Hospital where they were pronounced dead. Their identities have not been released.
