Officials found a 17-year-old male who was suffering from a gunshot wound to his stomach.
Police and East Bridgewater Fire Department paramedics rendered aid to the victim, who was then transported by ambulance to a local hospital.
The investigation indicates that the victim and another 17-year-old male were riding on a motorized scooter when the shooting took place.
According to police, they do not believe at this time that the incident was random.
Police are actively investigating this incident and have several leads that are being pursued.
