Man shot to death in apartment building in Providence

The Providence Police department is investigating a fatal shooting at an apartment complex.
Police received the call after 3:30 a.m. on May 9 to a report of shots fired on 149 Camden Avenue.
Upon arrival they discovered Kareem Barnes, who was in his early 40’s, in an apartment building shot to death.
Major David Lapatin tells ABC6 he does not believe Barnes lived in the apartment complex.
Officials do not have a motive yet but are investigating the case and speaking with several people.
According to the family, Barnes’ girlfriend lives in the apartment complex.
