Man stabbed in Cumberland during ‘disturbance’

CUMBERLAND, R.I. (WLNE) — The Cumberland Police Department said that a man was stabbed Saturday afternoon.

Police Chief Matthew Benson said a 40-year-old male was stabbed during a “disturbance” near the River Lofts on Front Street.

Benson added that the man was transported to the hospital, and that he couldn’t report any further information at this time.
