Man stabbed in New Bedford, suspect in custody

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) – A suspect is in custody after a man was stabbed in New Bedford Sunday afternoon, according to police.

The New Bedford Police Department said they responded to a call for a stabbing at the Quick Pic Mini Mart on Cottage Street where they found a man with a non life-threatening stab wound.

Police said they arrested a suspect shortly after investigating.

The identity of the suspect was not immediately released.
