Man steals baby formula valued at $2,000

A Rhode Island man sentenced yesterday for stealing nearly two-thousand dollars worth of baby formula.

35-year-old David Xavier of Pawtucket was sentenced to six months of a one year under the conditions that he participates in substance abuse counseling.

Xavier has already served 45 days of the sentence.

In March, he was arrested for stealing the formula from a Target store in North Attleboro.
