Man struck, killed by vehicle in Norton

A Foxboro man was struck and killed by a vehicle in Norton Wednesday afternoon.

Police say the victim, 63-year-old Michael Hassett, was struck by a delivery truck in the parking lot of Bernie & Phyl’s Furniture store on East Main Street. Hassett, and employee of the store, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The delivery truck was owned by NEHDS, a subcontractor who delivers furniture to the store.

The incident is under investigation and no other information is being released at this time.
