Man taken into custody after stabbing in Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Providence Police Department said a man was taken into custody Saturday after a stabbing on General Street.

Police said the suspect is a 24-year-old male, while the victim was a 28-year-old male who suffered multiple stab wound to his upper extremities.

The victim was described as stable and the incident is under investigation.
