Three people have been arrested in connection to multiple robberies in Providence Monday morning.

Providence Police Major David Lapatin says calls came in from Silver Lake, the South Side, and the West End, from people who claimed to have been robbed at gunpoint. The victims told police the suspect was wearing a dark mask and was driving a grey car.

Officers soon arrested 20-year-old David Mangrew, and two teens, after they were spotted at the Shell gas station on Union Avenue.

Mangrew and the teens, a male and female, were driving a rented Hyundai Sonata. Police seized a semi-automatic handgun, a purse, cash, and other stolen items inside the car.

The three were arrested and charged with armed robbery.
