WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — The Warwick Police Department said a man violated a no-contact order during a domestic incident that led to SWAT being called.

The department said that the man allegedly made several phone calls to a woman in violation of the order.

Police believe the man then left his car at a nearby Walmart and walked to the home.

The state police bomb squad was called to assist as they had equipment the Warwick department did not have access to.

The scene was cleared around 7 p.m. and neighbors were able to return to their homes.

Police added the investigation is ongoing.
