Man wanted in deadly Worcester State University shooting found in New York City

WORCESTER, Mass. (WLNE) — A man wanted by Massachusetts authorities in connection to a double shooting at Worcester State University was arrested in New York City.

State police said 18-year-old Kevin Rodriguez was found in an apartment in Brooklyn on Thursday morning.

Rodriguez was a wanted fugitive in a double shooting that killed a 19-year-old man and injured a 21-year-old man. None of the men were students at the college.

Rodriguez was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and armed assault with intent to murder.

He was considered armed and dangerous as authorities searched for him for almost a week.

The investigation into the shooting on campus is active and ongoing.
