Mansfield officials advise residents to avoid part of Route 140 South due to traffic light in road

MANSFIELD, Mass. (WLNE) — The Mansfield Fire Department advises residents to avoid part of Route 140 South due to a traffic light down in the road.

The traffic light is located in front of the Mansfield Shaws on Route 140.

Crews discovered the light when it responded to a two car multi-vehicle accident Wednesday.

The Mansfield Police Department said that the left turn lane of Route 140 North onto West Street and the left turn lane of West Street onto Route 140 North are closed.

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation is responding to the scene to repair the lights, but police do not have an estimated time that the lights will be fixed.
