Mansfield PD conduct investigation, shelter-in-place activated

MANSFIELD, Mass. (WLNE) — The Mansfield Police Department is currently conducting law enforcement operations near Pine Needle Lane.

A shelter-in-place alert was activated, as officials asked residents to stay in their homes and to stay clear of the area around 2 a.m.

It has since been cancelled, however the department is still actively investigating at this time.

In the alert shared with residents, officials informed the public that there would be significant police activity around Pine Needle Lane, including drone/helicopter operations and K9s.
