Mansfield police investigating overnight car break-ins
MANSFIELD, Mass. (WLNE) — The Mansfield Police Department are asking the public for information and surveillance video after arresting 3 people overnight for car break-ins.
Officers where called to the area of Fieldstone Drive around 3 a.m. after reports of multiple people breaking into a car.
After they arrived police found the the suspects attempting to enter a car that was reported stolen out of Weymouth.
Three of the four suspects, who are from Brockton, were taken into custody, as well as a firearm discarded by a suspect.
They were charged receiving stolen property, conspiracy, and resisting arrest.
The department said that they have received other reports from break-ins in other areas of town, and the last suspect remains unidentified.
The Mansfield Police Department is asking for residents in the following neighborhoods to check surveillance camera footage and to call 508-261-7356 with any information on the break-ins:
- Fieldstone Drive neighborhood including Deer Path Lane, Deer Path Circle, and Gloria Drive;
- Ware Street between Short Street and Kevin’s Way;
- Branch Street in the area of Fieldstone Drive;
- Newell Lane;
- The Marshall Avenue neighborhood including Aspen, Smiley Avenue, and Denwood Street.
