Mansfield Police investigating stabbing of 37-year-old

MANSFIELD, Mass. (WLNE) — The Mansfield Police Department said that it was investigating the stabbing of a 37-year-old man on Dec. 16.

Police said the stabbing occurred around 11 p.m.

The victim suffered from multiple stab wounds and was suffering from severe bleeding.

An officer applied a tourniquet to stop the bleeding. The victim was taken to the hospital and is recovering from surgery.

The department said the stabbing did not appear to be a random act.
