Mansfield Police make arrest after person walks into station saying they were shot

MANSFIELD, Mass. (WLNE) — The Mansfield Police Department said it made an arrest after a person was shot near the department’s Public Safety building on June 14.

The department said the shooting occurred around 11:50 p.m. when a walk-in to the lobby reported being shot at as they attempted to drive into the parking lot.

Officers also reported hearing a gunshot outside the building.

After an investigation identified a suspect and their vehicle, they were arrested on Erick Road.

The department said more information on the suspect and the incident will be released after they are arraigned.
