Mansfield police search neighborhood for vehicle theft suspects

MANSFIELD, Mass. (WLNE) — Mansfield police are searching for two vehicle theft suspects in the Back Bay neighborhood on Monday morning.

The department said in a social media post that they are investigating reports of a vehicle break-in and theft.

Police said their search involves Hope, Brook, Court, and Church streets.

The suspects are two teenage boys with thin builds. They were believed to be wearing black sweatshirts and black sweatpants.

Police said there is no threat to the public.

Residents were temporarily asked to bring their dogs inside as Massachusetts State Police sent out a K-9 unit.

Residents in the area are urged to report anything suspicious by calling 911.
