March Madness tournament continues with Purdue, UConn set to hit AMP court
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — March Madness continues Friday, with matchups set for the Amica Mutual Pavilion.
Purdue and Creighton were among the first teams to advance into the second round while Louisville was one and done.
Friday will see Connecticut face off against Oklahoma, with UConn getting the chance to be the first program to win three straight NCAA titles since 1973.
Also Friday, Duke will take on Mount Saint Mary’s and North Carolina will match up against Ole Miss.
North Carolina quieted some of the controversy surrounding its invitation to the big dance with a 95-68 win over San Diego State in their first four matchup.
As for the Big Dance games in Providence, the teams that won their opening round games will play again tomorrow.
Those include Purdue, McNeese State, Arkansas and Saint John’s.
