Marginally warmer day Friday before a Saturday soaker
The best way to describe Thursday’s weather? How about “Brrrrrrrr!”
It felt like the heart of winter out there with temperatures around 10° below average, and wind chills 10° below that!
The gusty winds will ease a bit into Friday, making for a slightly better day tomorrow. The sun will still be shining brightly.
The approach of a storm will push clouds in Friday night, with light rain beginning Friday morning. This will pick up through the afternoon, with some heavy rain by the evening.
2-3″ are likely as things taper off Saturday night. Sunday will be dry but cold and windy under mostly cloudy skies.
The storm stalls a bit offshore, keeping the breeze into Monday and slowing the increase of sun. Temperatures remain in the low to mid 40s early in the week.
We should slowly climb back to around 50 by midweek, but rain will be returning Wednesday into Thursday. Not a great stretch here for Southern New England!!
