Market Basket board fires another long-tenured executive

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Market Basket board of directors has fired another long-term executive according to their ousted former CEO.

Sue Dufresne served on the finance team at Market Basket for 30 years according to Arthur T. Demoulas.

According to her termination letter, she was fired for “disclosing confidential company information” in press interviews and for making unauthorized public statements.

Dufresne was interviewed for a Boston Globe story published in July about the fight for control of the chain.

Dufresne said that she made the statements out of dedication and loyalty to the people at Market Basket.
