OAK BLUFFS, Mass. (WLNE) — The Oak Bluffs Police Department said it arrested a Tisbury man in connection with a string of break-ins in the two towns as well as Edgartown.

25-year-old Eric Johnson was held without bail on multiple charges including being a fugitive from justice and a probation violation. He also had outstanding arrest warrants in Rhode Island.

Police said that surveillance cameras caught a masked individual at multiple of the incidents, which are believed to total around 85 instances.

A search warrant of Johnson’s house allegedly found “numerous” stolen items as well as a mask believed to be similar to the one seen in the videos.
