Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick announced that the Massachusetts

People living in Fall River, New Bedford and Taunton will soon have a chance to hope on the Massachusetts commuter rail service which currently operates in and around Boston.

Governor Deval Patrick announced on Monday that the commuter rail will add 10 new stops south of Stoughton with a primary line running to New Bedford and a secondary line to Fall River.

The announcement comes after an environmental impact report was completed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers analyzing the affect the new rail service would have on the area.
