Massachusetts COVID-19 deaths surpass 4,000 Sunday

BOSTON, M.A. (WLNE) – The Massachusetts Department of Public Health reports an additional 158 deaths Sunday, allowing the state’s death toll to surpass 4,000.

To be exact, the state has seen 4,004 COVID-19 related deaths since the pandemic began.

1,824 new positive cases were reported which now brings the state’s total positive case count to 68,087.

Current hospitalizations stand at approximately 5 percent of those currently infected.

Gov. Baker continues to ask all residents of Massachusetts to do their part in social distancing to fight the virus.
