BOSTON (WLNE) — The Massachusetts Lottery launched tickets for a new holiday raffle with a grand prize of $1 million on New Year’s Day.

Tickets for the “Mass Millionaire Holiday Raffle” went on sale Monday for $10 each.

Tickets will be available through the holidays until Sunday, Dec. 31. For every 100 tickets sold, the lottery will give the buyer a $100 voucher to use toward Massachusetts Lottery tickets.

Lottery officials said the $1 million winning ticket will be drawn on Monday, Jan. 1, 2024.

The raffle also includes four prizes of $250,000 each and six $25,000 winners.

Players will not get to choose their numbers — each ticket comes with a unique number that must exactly match one of the winning number sequences to win one of the prizes.

Those who participate in the raffle will also be a part of weekly drawings where a $20,000 ticket will be chosen. The weekly drawings will start Friday and will end on Dec. 29.

All the winners of the weekly drawings will also be eligible for one of the New Year’s Day prizes.
