Massachusetts State Police cruiser struck during traffic stop

WEST BRIDGEWATER, Mass. (WLNE) — The Massachusetts State Police Said that a cruiser was struck by a drunk driver during a traffic stop early Saturday morning.
Spokesperson Brandon Doherty said that around 12:30 a.m. a cruiser was struck while performing a motor vehicle stop on Route 24 in West Bridgewater.
The trooper said that his cruiser was pushed into him while he was out of the vehicle.
Doherty said that Route 24 southbound was shut down at Route 123 in Brockton until around 2 a.m.
He added that three people were transported to the hospital with minor injuries, and that the driver of the car that hit the cruiser was charged with operating under the influence – liquor.
