Massachusetts State Police investigating fatal crash in Bourne

BOURNE, Mass. (WLNE) – Massachusetts State Police have identified the victim in a fatal Thanksgiving Day crash as Cassandra Williams of Stoughton.

Police say Williams was just 23-years-old.

Police say at 3:15 p.m., troopers responded to reports of an accident on Route 25 in Bourne.  Authorities say that the car that went off the roadway while heading eastbound near exit 3.

State police say they are still investigating the reason the car left the road.

The driver was transported to Tobey Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The crash remains under investigation by the Massachusetts State Police, with assistance from the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and the State Police Crime Scene Services Section.
