Massachusetts State Police K-9 commended for tracking down jewelry thief

STURBRIDGE, Mass. (WLNE)- A Massachusetts State Police K-9 received special recognition after nabbing a jewel thief on Friday.
State Police said K-9 Orry helped officers track down a man who stole jewelry from a Sturbridge Walmart.
The suspect broke into a display case at the Walmart on Charlton Road on March 5. Police said he stole around $1,000 worth of jewelry.
Orry tracked down the suspect behind the store, into the woods, and eventually to a building where he was found hiding under a generator.
The suspect was taken into custody. State Police said he had a felony warrant for illegally possessing a firearm, along with other drug charges.
