Massachusetts State Police respond to deadly crash in Wimlington
WILMINGTON, Mass. (WLNE) — Massachusetts State Police said they responded to a fatal crash on Intetrstate-93 in Wilmington, Sunday night.
Police said around 7:30 p.m., a Honda Civic and a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck collided in the area of Concord Street after the Honda hydroplaned.
After hydroplaning, officials said the Honda struck the median guard rail barrier then reentered the road and collided with the Chevrolet truck in the far-right lane.
First responders said a woman in the passenger seat of the Honda, who has yet to be identified, sustained serious, life-threatening injuries and was taken to Lahey Hospital where she later died.
All other victims from the crash were taken to Lahey and Winchester Hospitals to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by Massachusetts State Police.
