WOBURN, Mass. (WLNE) — Massachusetts State Police stepped in to assist in transporting several horses after a Saturday morning crash rendered their trailer unusable.

Around 8:15 a.m. Saturday, Massachusetts State Troopers responded to a crash involving a pickup truck hauling a horse trailer on Route 93 in Woburn.

The trailer, carrying three horses, was disabled in the crash, and the horses were moved to a safe location on the highway while State Troopers assessed the scene. No injuries were reported.

Troopers on scene called a large State Police Mounted Unit trailer to the scene to assist in transporting the horses to their destination.

State Police said the horses were safely transported to their intended destination and the crash scene on Route 93 was cleared at 9:00 a.m.

“An eventful morning with a good ending. We were happy to be able to help”, Massachusetts State Police said in a tweet Saturday.
