Massachusetts unofficial ballot question results released

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — The Massachusetts ballot questions have been unofficially released Wednesday by the Associated Press. For the questions below, 95-96% of votes have been reported. Percentages are subject to change. Ballot questions were some of the tightest races in the election, according to WVCB.

Ballot question 1: Legislature audits: Should the State Auditor have the authority to audit the Massachusetts Legislature?

  • Approve: 71.5%
  • Reject: 28.5%

Ballot question 2: Remove MCAS requirement: Should Massachusetts eliminate the MCAS as a high school graduation requirement?

  • Approve: 59%
  • Reject: 41%
  • Results: APPROVED
  • 96% reporting

Ballot question 3: Rideshare unions: Should rideshare drivers have the right to form unions?

  • Approve: 53.9%
  • Reject: 46.1%
  • Results: APPROVED
  • 95% reporting

Ballot question 4: Legalize psychedelics: Should Massachusetts legalize certain natural psychedelic substances for people over 21?

  • Reject: 57%
