Massachusetts woman arrested in Connecticut for reckless driving

KILLINGLY, Conn. (WLNE) — Connecticut State Police said a Framingham woman was arrested for reckless driving in Killingly.
19-year-old Amanda Dias-Reis was charged with reckless driving.
Police pulled over Dias-Reis after a trooper who was performing speed enforcement said that she was driving at a “speed clearly higher than the posted speed limit.”
The department alleged that Dias-Reis was driving 99 mph in a 65 mph zone.
The trooper later said that he observed her driving 115 mph before he stopped her.
The department alleged that Dias-Reis said she was driving fast to “meet a friend.”
She was released on $500 bond and is expected in court on Aug. 20.
