Massachusetts woman pleads guilty to leaking grand jury information in Federal Karen Read case

BOSTON, Mass. (WLNE) — A Massachusetts woman pled guilty on Aug. 4 to leaking grand jury information from the Federal Karen Read case, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts.

34-year-old Jessica Leslie, of Dracut, was charged with one count of criminal contempt on July 11.

According to USAO, Leslie shared confidential information with “unauthorized individuals” between Aug. 11, 2022 and March 4, 2024.

The USAO said the information included the names of multiple witnesses, the “substance of witness testimony,” and other evidence that violates the Federal Rules and court order.

Leslie is scheduled to be sentenced on Sept. 26.
