MassDOT schedules multiple bridge sweepings

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation said that it will be performing maintenance and debris removal on bridges in Fairhaven, Fall River, New Bedford, and Somerset on Aug. 20.

The work will occur on the curbs and ramps on the Braga and Veterans Memorial Bridges, as well as the right lane curbs on the New Bedford-Fairhaven Swing Bridge.

Maintenance is scheduled between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.

Drivers traveling through the affected areas should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.
