MassDOT to close Fall River U-turn for paving work
FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation said it would be temporarily closing the Brightman Street U-turn in Fall River for paving work from June 2 to June 9.
The closure will prevent commuters from making a U-turn from Davol Street Northbound to Southbound for 24-hours a day.
The following detour will be in place:
- Continue on Davol Street Northbound and Route 79 Northbound for approximately one mile
- Take the North Main Street / North Fall River Exit
- Turn left onto North Main Street and continue north for approximately 0.2 mile
- Turn right onto the Route 79 South on ramp to Newport / Providence
- Continue on Route 79 Southbound and Davol Street Southbound for approximately 1.2 miles and continue
