MassDOT to open new ramp connecting Route 24 Southbound to Route 140

TAUNTON, Mass. (WLNE) — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation said a new ramp connecting connecting Route 24 southbound to Route 140 will open on Feb. 6.

MassDOT said the new Exit 17B will “provide a faster and safer connection to the East Taunton Commuter Rail Station.”

The opening is part of the Route 24/140 Interchange Improvement Project, which also includes replacing the Route 24 bridge over Route 140, adding new lanes, and modifying the interchange system.
