SWANSEA, Mass. (WLNE) — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation announced it would start performing daytime improvements to a Route 6 intersection in Swansea and Somerset starting Monday.
The pedestrian and bicycle improvement operations will occur at the intersections located along Route 6 from the Swansea town line to the Sonic and Marriot Hotel just north of the Home Depot entrance in Somerset.
The work is set to begin on July 10 and will occur daily, Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The department said the work is anticipated to last for fourteen weeks.
Temporary lane and shoulder closures will be in place, and drivers should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.
