Mayor Maria Rivera to announce run for re-election

CENTRALL FALLS, R.I. (WLNE) — Mayor Maria Rivera will announce she’s running for re-election today at an official campaign event.

In a release, Rivera said throughout her first term, she’s focused on transformative progress in Central Falls, from education to housing, and will speak on her Administration’s important progress and work ahead.

At her campaign event tonight starting at 6 p.m. at Sharks Peruvian Cuisine., event speakers will include Rhode Island’s Secretary of State Gregg Amore, State Representative Grace Diaz, and many local residents and business owners from the city.
