Mayor Picozzi announces next chief for Warwick Police Department

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — Mayor Frank Picozzi announced Commander Michael Lima has been named the next chief for the Warwick Police Department.

Lima is the current deputy chief for the Warwick Police Department, where he has worked for 21 years.

This comes after Chief Col. Bradford Connor announced his retirement for June 29.

Additionally, the mayor announced Major Andrew Sullivan will be promoted to deputy chief, taking over Lima’s current role.
