Mazzulla to bring trophy to Rhode Island

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Gov. Dan McKee said that Celtics Head Coach and Rhode Island native Joe Mazzulla will be visiting the Ocean State and bringing the NBA Championship trophy with him.

McKee said that Mazzulla and the trophy will be at the State House on Sept. 3 at 10 a.m.

Mazzulla’s family is from Johnston and the coach played for the Bishop Hendricken High School basketball team.
