MBTA to hold South Coast Rail community meeting in Fall River

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — The MBTA will provide an update today on phase one of construction of the South Coast Rail and safety information.

The project seeks to restore Commuter Rail service between southeastern Massachusetts and Boston.

Taunton, Fall River and New Bedford are within 50 miles of Boston, but they do not have Commuter Rail access.

Today’s meeting starts at 6 p.m. at the Morton Middle School auditorium.
