MBTA to suspend all subway, bus service Sunday

By The Associated Press
BOSTON (AP) _ The MBTA will suspend all service Sunday as another snowstorm with blizzard-like conditions races into the state.
There will be no subway, trolley, commuter rail, bus or ferry service the entire day. The MBTA said in a statement Friday that it’s taking the action to ensure the safety of riders and T workers.
It’s the third full-day shutdown of the transit system since a slew of storms began hammering the state in recent weeks.
The MBTA also has canceled late night service Saturday into Sunday.
The announcement came hours after Boston Mayor Martin Walsh _ who had suggested the T consider shutting down over the weekend _ reversed himself and said such a shutdown would pose an “incredible hardship” for Boston residents and people who work in the city.
