Providence, R.I. – The train ride from Boston to Providence got a little longer for some commuters this afternoon.
Traction motor issues attributed to the weather caused the 811 MBTA commuter rail to have a 90 minute delay on its 3:30 train this afternoon. The delay also caused the lights and heat to go out for the duration of the delay.
The train was rescued when another train pushed it to its stops in Mansfield, Attleboro, South Attleboro and Providence.
