McCoy Stadium seats installed at East Providence High School

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Local officials gathered Thursday for a ribbon cutting ceremony at the East Providence High School Baseball Field as two rows of seats from the former McCoy Stadium were placed behind home plate.
Mayor Bob DaSilva said thanked the baseball team’s head coach for advocating to get the stadium seats installed at the school’s ballpark.
A new unified high school will replace the former PawSox stadium.
Demolition work is expected to finish by June, and work on the new school should commence in the summer.
