McKee says Governor’s Cup represents ‘important piece of Rhode Island’
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Gov. Dan McKee addressed athletes from both Brown University and the University of Rhode Island ahead of Saturday’s Governor’s Cup game.
McKee said that the game “creates excitement for the state” and players represent an “important piece of Rhode Island.”
“Your leadership on the team helps to deliver the message that we lead by example,” he said.
The game between Brown and URI will be played on Saturday.
It will be held at the Richard Gouse Field at Brown Stadium.
