McKee to attend ribbon-cutting event at new fishing pier in Narragansett

NARRAGANSETT, R.I. (WLNE) — Governor Dan McKee will join officials from the Department of Environmental Management and local leaders for a ribbon-cutting event at the Port of Galilee in Narragansett to celebrate a new completed fishing pier.

According to a release, the project was funded by capitol funding investments proposed by McKee.

Hosted by Jon Williams of Narragansett Crab Company, the event will feature the fishing vessel Hannah Boden of “The Perfect Storm” docking at the new pier to celebrate the key infrastructure investments helping to insure the port remains a vibrant working waterfront for commercial fishers.

The event will begin at 1 p.m.
