McKee to recognize June as Pride Month

Pride To Be Celebrated In Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Governor Dan McKee will officially recognize Pride Month today.

McKee is set to sign a proclamation that will officially recognize June as Pride Month in the state of Rhode Island.

Rhode Island Pridefest is set to kickoff in Downtown Providence on June 15.

Rhode Island Pride has been celebrated since 1976 when the first pride parade was held in the city of Providence.
