McKee to speak at 2024 green bond event

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Governor Dan McKee will join the “Yes on 4” coalition in support of the 2024 green bond today.

He’ll be speaking on the importance of making investments in Rhode Island green spaces, outdoor recreational areas and waterways.

A $53 million bond will appear as question 4 on the ballot for Rhode Island’s November 5th general election and will give voters the opportunity to approve investments in forests, outdoor recreation, restoration of the iconic Newport Cliff Walk and more.

The event will take place this morning at 11 a.m. at the save the Bay Center in Providence.
