McKee stops by Gaspee search site
WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — Gov. Dan McKee stopped by the search site for the HMS Gaspee in Warwick Tuesday morning.
Volunteers from the Rhode Island Marine Archaeology Project have been using sonar technology to scan the waters for remains of the ship.
Each day, volunteers at the research center on Namquid Drive offer visitors information on the search.
The sinking of the Gaspee is considered one of the first blows of the American Revolution.
