PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLN) — Gov. Dan McKee wants the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority to review the facts around CEO Scott Avedisian’s auto accident case.

Spokesperson Laura Hart said that the governor “urges the RIPTA board to convene a special meeting to review the facts of the Avedisian matter and follow the appropriate human resources protocols.”

Avedisian allegedly struck another car in the drive thru of the McDonald’s on Post Road in Warwick on March 27. He then left the scene.

Avedisian pleaded not guilty and was released on $1,000 personal recognizance on April 3.

He will next appear in court on April 25 for a pre-trial conference.
